MVS 5600-IP是一款IP65仿佛等级的坚固外壳、免维护的嵌入式计算机，是在极端环境下进行数据采集的理想选择，贯穿于一些车载应用，如运输、重型和废物管理等。所有的外部接口，包括千兆以太网、隔离的CAN总线和数字I/O、USB和RS232/485串行端口，都是在IP67防护的连接器上实现的，以便在恶劣和坚固的环境中进行可靠的数据传输。
MVS 5600-IP是一个模块化的设计，它可以灵活地使用其他种类的扩展板来扩展不同的I/O功能，以快速适应大量的应用。系统内部有四个mini-PCIe插槽和三个SIM卡插槽，提供WLAN、3G/LTE cat.12、CAN OBD（SAE J1708/J1939）或CVBS功能。此外，它可以在-30℃至+60℃的温度下无风扇运行。
MVS 5600-IP支持9~36V DC电源输入，带点火管理，12V DC 2A最大功率输出。它符合E-mark和ISO 7637-2的车辆认证，并符合美国军用MIL-STD-810G，类别4，复合轮式车辆的振动和冲击标准。
