VTC 1021采用新一代英特尔Atom® x5-E3940四核1.6GHz处理器，具有强大的图形和多媒体功能。VTC 1021坚固耐用，无风扇，1 DIN紧凑型外壳，适用于空间有限的车辆，可以放置计算机系统。车载CAN 2.0B和可选OBD接口(SAE J1939)，用于车辆诊断和驾驶员行为管理。一种先进的GPS接收机支持GPS/Glonass/QZSS/Galileo/北斗，也可选择航位推算。VTC 1021功能WLAN和WWAN无线数据和语音连接。双卡外接设计，方便用户接入SIM卡。
双PoE功能（仅VTC1021-C2K）适用于大多数PoE设备，包括无线接入点，以及IP摄像机。额外的12V DC输出可以为外部显示器提供方便的电源线安排。VTC 1021保持灵活性，以满足远程信息处理应用的不同需求，如信息娱乐、车队管理、调度系统和移动视频监控。
